The Architect of Akeroe (often shortened to "Architect") is a legendary title granted exclusively to an inhabitant of the mountain city Akeroe. Historically the Architect was the overseer of any and all construction work that would have taken place in the city, but the title developed more significance over time to eventually encompass aspects of a sovereignty. Typically the Architect would have been the highest level of authority in the city and would have been responsible for commanding and protecting its citizens.
Anyone who has held the title of Architect in the past would have had a critical role in shaping the city. As civilisations constantly developed on Akeroe and structures were constantly being modified, removed or replaced, many saw the presence of an "Architect" as the only truly consistent quality of the city.
